Free Family Fun Festival Honoring Our Heroes
Location: PARKING LOT F of Citizens Business Bank Arena
Date: Saturday, November 9, 2013
Time: 9:00am-6:00pm
Details - Come out to honor the men and women who have served our country.  Military and local elected officials will be speaking. Come out and enjoy vendors, music and even a motorcycle run.
The Marcus Heart Foundation has joined forces with Stansell Enterprises Concerts & Events to present the "Give Love Tour", "Give Love Ride" & Non-Perishable Food Drive. The event will benefit our fallen, wounded and forgotten heroes and their families during this Veterans Day holiday weekend.
The Give Love Ride, Motorcycle Run and Tailgate event, is a symbolic memorial in honor of our fallen, wounded and forgotten heroes. Information and routes are available by visiting www.givelovetour.com



Give Love Tour 2013 Citizens Business Bank Arena Tickets

Details - The evening event will feature the Give Love Tour Concert, performance by Maze featuring Frankie Beverly & Ledisi. Comedian Chris Spencer will emcee.
  • Tickets range from $39 to $99 (parking is including in ticket price), with a portion of the proceeds going to the Marcus Heart Foundation. 
  • The tour moves to San Diego on Sunday.
  • On Monday, Citizens Business Bank Arena will host several veterans from Los Angeles, San Bernardino, and Riverside counties for a free meal.

Aesop in Rancho Cucamonga

Details - MainStreet Theatre Company presents a World Premiere Aesop in Rancho Cucamonga; the first of three new productions this season!  Award winning Los Angeles Playwright Luis Alfaro sets his brand new adaptation of “Aesop’s Fables”! Using the history of the area as a jumping off point, he makes these old stories relevant for a whole new generation of children.
Show Times:  Production opened October 26, 2013 and runs through Sunday, November 10, 2013 with show times Saturday, October 26th at 4:00 pm, Saturdays (November 2nd & 9th) at 1:00 pm & 4:00 pm and Sundays (November 3rd & 10th) at 1:00 pm

Veteran's Day Ceremony
Location: Alta Loma High School, Rancho Cucamonga, CA
Date: Sunday, November 10, 2013 At 3:30pm
Details -
Ceremony will be held Sunday at 3:30 p.m. on the front steps of Alta Loma High School, 8880 Base Line Road. The ceremony will include a flag ceremony, color guard, buglers, 21-gun salute with local speakers. Participating will be Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8680 and the Chaffey High School NJROTC.
Flowers will be distributed at the end of the ceremony to place at the memorial at the front of schools honoring Alta Loma High alumni who lost their lives fighting for their country. The ceremony is hosted by the Alta Loma High School Alumni Association. Information: 951-505-6340 or 909-981-5092.

Wondering what might be closed in obserance...the following schedule will be in effect:
  • Monday, 11/11, is a federal holiday observing Veterans Day. 
  • Closed: Schools, banks, courthouses and federal, state, county and city offices. Exceptions are Culver City and Lawndale city halls, which will remain open.
  • Open: Most commercial businesses, U.S. financial markets and retail outlets.
  • Mail: No residential or business delivery.
  • Trash: On Monday, most Solid Waste Departments will not collect trash in observance of the Veterans Day holiday. Typically refuse and recycling collection is provided one day later for the remainder of the week. Contact your local city office to confirm.
